This project is a tremendous culture and legacy story for Yukon First Nations in partnership with the Four Host First Nations as they co-host the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.
Project YFN 2010 features the development and celebration of 70 Yukon First Nations in performing and visual arts, youth, elders and business. From the beginning of this Project, our team has spent hours in recruitment, rehearsals, marketing, training, coordinating, selling and getting ready to share Yukon First Nations people and culture with the world.
The Project Team would like to thank our full contingent for the commitment and dedication to this experience and what we are building. Not only are they able to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime experience, they are committed to the long-term vision that will start when the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games are over – in legacy and inspiring other Yukon First Nations.
We also extend our thanks to our funders and sponsors (CanNor, Yukon Government Air North – Yukon’s Airline and Golden Predator). In supporting this Project, these agencies and businesses believe in the potential and capacity that this opportunity will have on the Project team and all Yukon First Nations. Thank you for your support – we look forward to growing this list soon!
